Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Rund (“we”, “us”) is a neighborhood running game for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work, and you stay anonymous to other users by default.
Information we collect
- Account & profile: the name, profile photo, email and phone you provide. Your photo stays blurred to others until you choose a mutual reveal.
- Location (GPS): while you run, to draw your route, calculate territory, and place you in the right neighborhood. Background location is used only during an active run.
- Health & fitness: if you connect Apple Health/HealthKit, run metrics such as distance, pace, heart rate and calories. Health data is used to show your stats and is not sold.
- Content: messages you send in neighborhood chats and DMs, and reports you submit.
- Device & usage: basic technical data (device type, app version, crash logs) to keep the app reliable.
How we use it
- To run the game: claim and display territory, leaderboards, and run history.
- To enable the social features you choose: neighborhood chat, DMs, buddy reveal and co-op runs.
- To keep the community safe (moderation of reported content).
- To fix bugs and improve the app.
Your choices & rights
- You control location and Health permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
- You stay anonymous until you reveal your profile to a specific person.
- You can request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing us.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that host and operate the app on our behalf, or where required by law.
