Terms of Use

A game built around real movement. Play fairly, respect others and put safety before a score.

The service and your agreement

These terms govern Rund, rund.run and the account, running, map, social, organization, event and Pro features operated by Emre Pehlevan. Contact: https://rund.run/support.html. By explicitly accepting these terms you enter the service relationship. The Privacy Policy explains personal information separately; accepting these terms is not blanket consent to optional data processing. Apple also supplies its Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement for the App Store application: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 16, meet any higher local minimum and have legal capacity or any authorization required by applicable law. Provide accurate eligibility and account information. Do not impersonate another person, evade a restriction, sell accounts or disclose credentials. You are responsible for account use you authorize; tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. Apple or email sign-in is required for account features, while supported map browsing may be available to guests.

Real-world safety first

Choose routes that are lawful, accessible and suitable for your ability and current conditions. Respect traffic rules, landowners, restricted areas and other people. Never cross a road, trespass, run into danger or use the app while driving to obtain territory or a flag. Pause or stop when needed and consult an appropriate professional for health concerns. Maps, GPS, distances, timing and game boundaries may be inaccurate. Rund is not navigation advice, medical advice or an emergency service; a game marker does not grant physical access to a place.

Fair play and community conduct

Do not falsify location or activity, automate scoring, exploit the service, disrupt other users or attempt unauthorized access. Harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, illegal material, scams and disclosure of another person's private information are prohibited. Use blocking and reporting tools. Rund may investigate reports, restrict features or remove content proportionately for safety, rule enforcement or legal reasons. Organizers may moderate their organization's room within its stated rules; they must not use that role to obtain unauthorized personal information.

Your persona and shared content

A persona is the default social identity. Optional real-name or photo sharing depends on the applicable buddy or event choice, and the organizer's public identity has a separate approval. Do not claim the service makes every action untraceable or publish personal information you do not have permission to share.

You retain rights in content you submit. You grant Rund a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, display and transmit that content as needed to operate the feature you requested, maintain the service and enforce these terms. You must have the necessary rights and permissions, including for photos, artwork, trademarks and another person's information. This license is not a right to sell your personal information. Shared content may remain with an anonymized attribution where removal would improperly affect others or valid retention duties; contact us about a specific removal request.

Runs, buddies and scoring

Runs, territory captures, live trails, buddy sessions, flags, ranks and cards are game features, not legally owned land, cash or financial assets. Scores are subject to server validation, route quality, event rules, connectivity and anti-cheat checks. Location permission is necessary for tracked running but optional for browsing. Live buddy or race participation shares the position required for that session with authorized participants. You can stop a run or leave an event; unfinished or invalid activity may not earn a result.

Organizations and races

Only authorized organizers can create and manage races. An organizer must have permission to use the course, set a safe and lawful schedule and boundary, provide accurate rules and prize details, and make any required participant notices available. Public identity is required for an organization's public organizer presentation. Rund's organizer permission is not a certification of qualifications, safety or legal compliance.

Territory races rank validated area inside the configured boundary during the event. Flag-collection races let each eligible participant collect each checkpoint once; shared flags remain available to others, with finishing and scoring governed by event rules. Finish-flag races use server-validated arrival at the configured finish, not a guaranteed millisecond-accurate physical race judge. The selected event awards one winner or the first three where supported. Organizer-controlled changes, minimum readiness, start time, cancellation and connectivity can affect an event.

An organizer is responsible for any physical prize, delivery, eligibility, restrictions and event permits. Rund may record a digital award but does not guarantee a third party's physical prize. No entry payment, wagering or cash-equivalent betting may be introduced through these features. Apple is not a sponsor of Rund races, contests or prizes. Organizers must not imply otherwise. Separate contest rules and any legally required disclosures remain the organizer's responsibility.

Free access and Rund Pro

Free accounts have the weekly allowances displayed in the app. The standard free allowance is three tracked outings and 50 messages across the counted channels per week, resetting Monday at 00:00 UTC. Completed history, earned content and safety controls are not removed merely because an allowance is used. The current app and account entitlement are authoritative for included features.

Rund Pro offers monthly or annual auto-renewing Apple subscriptions for the Pro features shown before purchase, including unlimited counted runs and messages while active. The localized price, billing period and renewal conditions appear in the purchase interface and Apple's confirmation. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple charges renewal according to its terms. Manage or cancel in Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation normally stops future renewal, not the already paid period. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies and mandatory consumer law.

Restore purchases using the original Apple Account and the Rund account linked to that purchase. A purchase cannot be silently transferred between unrelated Rund accounts. Family Sharing is not offered unless explicitly shown as supported. Deleting the Rund account does not cancel the Apple subscription: cancel it in Apple settings as well. Rund does not promise a free trial; any offer is valid only if explicitly displayed. Pro does not buy a winning score, a prize or rights over other users' information.

Availability, changes and termination

We work to keep Rund reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect GPS, identical device performance or a particular competitive result. We may maintain, improve or discontinue features, with notice and any refund or other remedy required by law. Material term changes will be presented appropriately and require acceptance where applicable; they do not retrospectively authorize an unrelated use of your data.

You can stop using the service and delete your account in account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security threats, legal obligations or misuse, using proportionate measures and an explanation where lawful. Contact us to contest an account action. Privacy and statutory consumer rights remain available.

Responsibility and consumer rights

You and organizers remain responsible for the real-world choices and events you control. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rund is not responsible for third-party venues, organizer promises, device/network failures or risks not caused by its breach. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, personal injury or mandatory statutory duties. Nothing removes mandatory consumer guarantees, cancellation, refund or data protection rights. These terms are not a waiver of all injury claims.

Applicable mandatory law and competent courts remain available in your jurisdiction. We do not require mandatory arbitration, waive class-action rights or impose a foreign forum that overrides protected consumer rights. Contact us through https://rund.run/support.html first so we can try to resolve a problem; this does not prevent a regulator complaint or legal remedy. Version: October 4, 2026.
