Host running races on Rund: become an organizer

Running clubs, brands, municipalities, schools and communities host GPS running races on real streets with Rund. Organizer access is granted on application, and the Rund team reviews every request.

Three race types

Territory Whoever holds the most area in the arena wins.
Flags Whoever collects the most checkpoint flags wins.
Finish First to the finish line wins.

What is a Rund organizer?

A Rund organizer is an approved Rund account that can create race courses, manage participants, publish announcements and award prize cards to the podium. Organizing is free but never automatic: a Pro subscription does not grant it, and every account becomes an organizer through its own application and approval.

What can organizers do?

Three race types

Territory: whoever holds the most area in the arena wins. Flags: collect the flags at the checkpoints. Finish: first to the finish line wins.

Organizer FAQ

How do I host a running race on Rund?

Once approved as an organizer, you create your organization on Rund's Races screen, draw the course on the map and pick a race type: territory, flags or finish. You set the duration, podium and prize cards, then publish; you approve entry requests for public races and the server verifies results. Venue permissions are the organizer's responsibility.

Does it cost anything to become an organizer?

No. Applying for and holding organizer access on Rund are free. You don't need Pro, and a Pro subscription alone doesn't grant organizer access.

Does a Rund Pro subscription make me an organizer?

No. Rund Pro offers unlimited runs and messages plus personalization and social features. Organizer access is a separate permission granted only after an application is approved by the Rund team.

How long does a review take?

The Rund team usually decides organizer applications within 2 business days. We'll let you know in the app and with a notification when there's a decision, and we may call to verify the organization.

What happens if my application is declined?

Rund shows the reason on the application screen in the app. You can address it and apply again after 7 days.

Can I charge participants?

No. Rund doesn't support paid entry, wagering or cash-equivalent prizes. Prize cards are cosmetic; any physical prize you announce, and its delivery, is your responsibility.

How big can my race be?

A Rund race supports up to 100 registrations, 32 checkpoints and four hours of play. An organizer account can run 20 organizations and 20 open races at a time.

Can I see participants' personal data?

On Rund, participants are anonymous by default. You only see the name, photo and stats of participants who choose to share them. You may not export or repurpose runner data without a lawful basis.

How are race results decided?

Rund's server decides race results. In a finish race, arrival is verified with at least two fresh GPS fixes inside a 35-meter gate, and device time never decides the winner. Flag races rank by flags collected, territory races by area held in the arena.
